Quality raw material
Kolar only uses the best quality wood in its
production and always sources sawn timber
from sustainable forestry. We document our
environmental awareness through PEFC and
FSC® certification of our locations.
the constant supply of quality sawn timber
is the basis for our work. Lumber is bought in
board form. For constant further processing, the
wood must have the optimum moisture content
for interior construction. to do this, wood that is
too damp is dried in our own drying chambers.

A constant measurement and verification ensures
constant moisture content.
In favour of a higher material yield, we like to use
more manpower. this allows us to deal with
resources as sparingly as possible. When
manufacturing, shorter pieces of wood are used
and thanks to finger-jointing, a far higher
proportion of this valuable material is processed.
Wood obliges us to think and act sustainably.
we take care of our environment.
the resulting wood waste is used as heating
material and the complete production line
including the office space is heated with it.
