Our subsidiary turned 30

We celebrated the 30th anniversary of our Czech location FK dřevěné lišty. On an autumn evening in the largest event room in Znojmo, we welcomed more than 250 cheerful guests, our employees from Austria and the Czech Republic as well as many of our business partners.

Obituary Jaroslav Kolar

With deep sadness and great gratitude for a long and fulfilled life, we said goodbye to our senior boss Jaroslav Kolar (*1.1.1928 † 28.12.2022) on January 5, 2023 with his immediate family by his side. He managed the company from 1972 – 1990.

Help after Tornado

8/2/2021

Our colleagues from production in our subsidiary FK dřevěné lišty waived part of their premiums and donated the amount to families affected by the tornado that hit parts of southern Moravia in June. Many employees also helped with donations in kind and physically on site to repair the damage caused by the tornado. The company itself also sent material aid in the form of new roof battens.

The donation was given to three families in Moravská Nová Ves who lost everything in a few seconds.

We are happy about this commitment and lived charity.

E-cars

We are delighted with the first car in our new fleet of e-cars. The management handed over the VW.ID 3 to our Sales Representative for Austria. Of course, the car is charged at our in-house charging station for electric vehicles, which is fed by our new photovoltaic system.

Our charging station for electric vehicles has been installed & tested. She is ready to use! Two cars can fill up at the same time. The charging station is then fed by our photovoltaic system.

Here we go! Our latest sustainability project is a photovoltaic system that is currently being installed. The aim is to use it to cover the entire electricity requirement for our headquarters in Brunn.

Certified Products

Wood is a valuable raw material. It is important to us that the wood we use comes from sustainably managed forests. Like FSC®, we are now also PEFC^TM certified, just as our production site was before.

We are happy to produce your desired product made of certified material (FSC® or PEFC) on request. The desired certification must already be known before you order. In retrospect, the wish can not be considered.

new prices in handrail program

We always endeavor to ensure a price commitment in the catalog for 2 years. For the first time, due to the material costs, we are now forced to raise the prices before the next catalog is published (planned for the end of 2019):

From Feb, 1, 2019 on, new prices will apply in the handrail program (pages 24-28 in the Kolar catalog 2018/2019), this includes all handrail profiles, end caps and corners:

beech, maple, spruce, ash, larch + 5%
oak + 15%
profile HL49 has different new prices

The prices of services and surcharges (fixed lengths, circa length, paint, etc.) remain unchanged, as well as the other products of the handrail program (columns, spindles) from page 29-33.

Our diverse stock availability remains and we continue to offer small commissionings pre-assembled with a short delivery time.

We are looking forward to continuing our successful cooperation.

The Chamber of Commerce awarded innovative companies on May 13: From a total of 110 project submissions, the winners were split into four categories. dukta® flexible wood was the winner in the category "product development and service."

The "architect@work" exhibition took place from 16th-17th September for the very first time in the Stadthalle, Vienna.

Stepwood® Acoustic tested by TÜV

We are presenting our newly developed Stepwood® acoustic panels for the first time at the trade fair BAU in Munich (19.1.2015-23.1.2015). The panels underwent laboratory acoustics and noise control tests at TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority) Rheinland. The sound absorption rating (α_w) of Stepwood® panels in spruce and core beech with different drilled holes was measured. The test results are very satisfactory!

For the first time this year, we presented some of our products at the EuroShop Trade Fair 2014, the trade exhibition for shop-fitting, store equipment and store design. Focus was placed on the one hand on design panels (Stepwood®, Stepform and DUOplex) and the other on supplier parts such as wooden trellis.
We appreciate the lively interest that has been particularly sparked by the various versions of Stepwood®.
